Rotterdam based photo-artist Laura Zalenga is best known for her self-portraits. She calls them ‘not-myself-portraits’ as she uses herself as an anonymous object to project stories onto.

Mostly placed in nature but also in urban scenes the ‘protagonists’ of her imagery often are shown in an almost intimate connection with their surrounding. The extremely clear visual language of her art gives room for silent atmospheres transferring feelings and themes.
